Archive directory using tar:
tar -cvf <project_name.tar> /mysql/<project_anme> /mysql/mysqlbakcup/<project_name.tar>
Extract directory using tar:
tar -xvf <File_Name.tar> <Target_Location>

Copy files to remote server:
rsync -avz  *.sql <id>@<remote_server>:</remote_server_path/backup/> --progress

Copy remote file to local server:
rsync -avzh <id>@<remote_server>:</remote_server_path/backup/> </local_server_path/local_dir>
Copy remote file to local /tmp directory server over SSH:
rsync -avzhe ssh <id>@<remote_server>:</remote_server_path/backup/install.log> /tmp/

Create MySQL database with hyphen

Create MySQL database with hyphen: If you are trying to create MySQL database with hyphen " - " in the name such as test-db and get error  " your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '-db' at line" then you might be wondering how to get it done as your business require MySQL database name with hyphen " - "  Here is the fix, use escape character " ` " before and after database name such as `test-db` and you will be able to create database with hyphen.
